The Health Sciences – Patient Care Services certificate is designed to provide the student with concentrated coursework in health sciences and basic patient care. Upon completion of the required courses, a certificate is awarded by the College.
Students successfully completing the Nurse Aide I course are eligible for the state-approved Nurse Aide I Training and Competency Testing. Successful completion of state-approved testing allows students eligibility for listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I. Earning this credential opens immediate opportunities for employment within the healthcare field.
Graduates of the Associate in Applied Science Health Sciences – Patient Care Services (Nurse Aide) track will earn an associate degree and a Nurse Aide I certificate.
