The purpose of SCC Student Services is to assist students in achieving their educational, social, and career goals by creating an environment that promotes, supports and celebrates student success. Student Services will provide opportunities for students to build upon their strengths, skills and abilities by providing them with opportunities to increase their self-confidence, leadership skills, global awareness, and community consciousness.
Goals
- Students will collaborate with Student Services staff to co-create educational, career, and social plans and goals.
- Students will discover their strengths and special abilities and the unique needs and potential of individuals will be acknowledged.
- Students will be encouraged to connect with campus clubs and resources as well as the college’s service area.
- Students will be a part of a campus community that is committed to establishing an accessible and welcoming environment to individuals from diverse communities.
- Students will be communicated with often to establish and maintain a strong connection with the campus community.
